Time for Action

"Their script is now written, subject only to last-minute editing and stage directions. The stage itself, albeit as yet in darkness, is almost ready. Down in the pit, the subterranean orchestra is already tuning up. The last-minute, walk-on parts are even now being filled. Most of the main actors, one suspects, have already taken up their roles. Soon it will be time for them to come on stage, ready for the curtain to rise. The time for action will have come." - Peter Lemesurier, The Armageddon Script

"No more delays. No more reports. No more meetings to agree on what has been agreed upon for years...It is time for action." - Federico Mayor Zaragoza, Alliance of Civilizations

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me." - Exodus 20:1-3

Great production Rich. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, according to the Alliance of Civilizations, I am allowed to believe whatever I choose to believe, as long as I believe what the Alliance of Civilizations tells me to believe. Is that it???

HK,

That's right. The AOC wants us to learn how to interpret our scriptures from them.

HK-91,

Constance describes it very well. "One is permitted to have a religion in the new age, however one is not permitted to believe it."

The Alliance attempts to side step the issue that they are working towards religious syncretism by sayinig they do not see all religions as the same. HOWEVER, a common slogan in interfaith & intercultural dialogue is "all different, all equal." Karen Armstrong's new ethos reflects this slogan where she indicates we need to move from tolerance to appreciation, leaving us to see one another's beliefs as divine.

Thanks so much Rich. The opening quotations you used really set the stage for your video which tied together those key statements from
each of the individuals featured.
The message couldn't be any clearer. Great Job!!

Having convictions=HATE
according to one of the speakers..

Karen Armstrong wants us to "appreciate" other convictions that we don't hold, and not only that we don't hold but that we utterly disagree with. For someone who has a PhD, she seems to be lacking in common sense. I guess common sense is not a prerequisite for being a member of the UN's high level group of AoC.

Karen also wants to have guidelines how Scripture is interpreted. I suppose that she wants to be the one to develop those guidelines so we mere mortals don't make mistakes and lapse into hatred.

I'm so glad that the UN picked such wise "sages" are able to recreate God in their own image. This way they can build a tower and make a name for themselves...

Now if they can just get everyone to agree with them, and elect them head of this new "religion" then we won't have any more wars, or hunger, or hatred and we will have a bloodless salvation...

I think if they can just figure out a way to control people's thoughts and get them to think like they do then it might work... then they can get the masses to bow down and worship the antimessiah...implants perhaps?

Matt. 4:8-10 Again, the devil *took Him to a very high mountain and *showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus *said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’”

As for me and my household we will serve the Lord.

Thanks Rich, I have sent this to all that I can. The linking of Christianity to terrorism continues to snowball.

Wow! That quote4 says it all when it comes to the video.

I was just thinking about the AOC when I heard that PBS would no longer broadcast church services to shut ins. http://tiny.cc/13DQh

I was thinking that all that other crazy stuff they have on (that is very New Age) would get to stay.

Blessings and may God continue to protect us from evil.

Rudi- LOL I should have read all the comments I guess before I commented. I just saw we said the same thing about the quote.

Any ideas as to how they will go about enforcing the revised Scripture interpretations?

Rich Peterson - Medford said...

Naomi,

You ask a very good question. Recalling a few foundational items:

- The Alliance of Civilizations is the central decision-maker of the UN global counter-terrorism strategy.

- The Alliance of Civilizations has defined monotheists who refuse to set aside "exclusive" truth claims to be extremists.

- Extremism is considered much worse than terrorism because it is the root cause of terrorism.

- The Alliance of Civilizations along with an interlocking initiative, Religions for Peace, proposes a security model of "Shared Security". Shared Security is nothing more than a model of CIMIC, or civilian-military cooperation. (See past blog post Enemy of the Civilization for additional reading.)

In 2004, the Club of Madrid charged UN Secretary General Kofi Annan with turning its counter-terrorism blueprint into a concrete strategy. Most key actors in the AoC iniative were in attendance. This resulted in a counter-terroism process known as "The Strategy". UNESCO and the AoC are the lead organizations in "The Strategy".

I believe the Club of Madrid provided us with the direction they intend to take this when they said "Biometrical identification technology is often raised as a potential technological asset in countering terrorist smuggling and movement. Biometrical identification systems will increasingly be used in
travel documents as well as in other transactions...Secondly, a biometric system will link the individual with his or her documents..."

The Alliance of Civilizations has proposed the creation of a global database of individuals sympathetic to the AoC initiative.

This, combined with implementation of "the internet of things" which intends to connect all objects into a global network, sounds like we're moving closer to chip implantation.

Karen Armstrong is dangerous. Consider what she had to say about Christianity.

Another quote I came across by Karen Armstrong.

" Ironically, the first thing that appealed to me about Islam was its pluralism. The fact that the Koran praises all the great prophets of the past."

"Islam is a religion of success. Unlike Christianity, which has as its main image, in the west at least, a man dying in a devastating, disgraceful, helpless death."

"Mohammed was not an apparent failure. He was a dazzling success, politically as well as spiritually, and Islam went from strength to strength to strength."

Thanks for that information, Rich. Besides chip implantation, etc., I was wondering if they are going to make "extremist" views of certain Scripture passages illegal? Would certain Bible translations be outlawed?

Amen, to the Rabbis comments, except one phrase "Judaism is the mother of all religions" which I would like to change just a bit. Torah, not Judaism is the foundation of my faith, and Yeshua is the living Torah. The gospel was preached from Genesis, but many do not see it, but you can be sure that Abraham, Moses, and all the prophets did. Yeshua mentioned this:

John 8:56 “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

Yeshua is revealed all throughout Torah, but revelation of Him is made explicit in the Apostolic Scriptures. The veil comes off in Yeshua. Paul says this:

2Cor. 3:15-16 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

God's promises to Israel are forever. Their exile was always a response to disobedience, but restoration is always promised because finally salvation is of God. He is the one who put's His Word on their hearts in the newer, improved covenant. Their exile is also a blessing to the nations because as the gospel goes out to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel, it goes to the nations as well..

The Assyrian exile caused the 10 tribes to be scattered to the four corners of the earth . The destruction of the Temple caused the remnant of Judah ( 2 1/2) tribes to be exiled from their land.

Prophecy is very clear that in the last days, God will shake both houses from the nations and bring them back into their land and put Torah on their minds...We know that this happens when we believe in Yeshua's atonement for our sins..

We, as believers in the God of Israel and in Yeshua, should not expect that this will happen peacefully. This is the last piece in the prophetic plan, and Satan knows that his reign on planet earth will soon be over once and for all. All the kingdoms of the world belong to Yeshua, and He will take His rightful place of reign in Jerusalem, so naturally Jerusalem is going to be a hot spot..

God is going to shake Israel out of the nations, but He will also shake everything else that can be shaken:

Amos 9:9 “For behold, I am commanding,
And I will ashake the house of Israel among all nations As grain is shaken in a sieve, But not a kernel will fall to the ground.

The confusion comes when we try to eradicate verses from the Torah and Prophets that promise the restoration of All Israel. I'm sorry to say that there are parts of the church that have done this for centuries and are still doing it. The only shalom ( wholeness) that everyone seeks can only come when the nations join themselves to God's plan and God's people, like Ruth did. Ruth is a foreshadowing of God's redemption of all the nations.

Jews do not yet believe in Yeshua in large numbers, but in our day there are more and more having this revelation. As a Jew, I feel especially blessed to know Yeshua. The house of Israel that was scattered in the nations has heard the gospel as it has been preached in most if not all nations, but doesn't remember who they are. Their exile and subsequent assimilation left them without an Israelite identity, but God has not forgotten who they are or where they are. ..As these two sticks become "one" in God's hand, the world will understand the faithfulness of the God of Israel. God's faithfulness is not based on our faithfulness, thankfully, or we'd all be in trouble. ( Eze 37:15-28)

His faithfulness is based on His character and His Name. Salvation is of Him, thus the name, Yeshua..

יְשׁוּעׇה n.f. salvation - salvation by God,

As we watch the prophetic events unfold in our day, including the rejection of Israel, by the nations foretold in the prophets, we should not be surprised or amazed, but stand firm in our faith and firm with God's people.. We will not fall into apostasy if we remember that He never changes.. When He promises to give Land forever He means it, which is why in chapters 47 & 48 of Ezekiel we see the picture of the Millennial Kingdom with the land allotments given exactly according to their tribes as promised, and the alien dwelling among the tribes.

There has NEVER been a problem for foreigners to dwell with Israel.. They must love the God of Israel and His people. It's very clear, but we must take God at His Word:

Ezek. 47:21-23 “So you shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.
“You shall divide it by lot for an inheritance among yourselves and among the aliens who stay in your midst, who bring forth sons in your midst. And they shall be to you as the native-born among the sons of Israel; they shall be allotted an cinheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. “And in the tribe with which the alien stays, there you shall give him his inheritance,” declares the Lord GOD.

I really appreciate the work of the Temple Institute and their zealousness to be obedient to the Torah, according to the revelation that they have. May they have greater and greater revelation in our day.

We really need to pray for the American church, because many are turning against the Scriptures and believing that the Land should be divided.. God says, "It's my Land".

I don't really know what's in Obama's heart, other than what he says out loud which is quite condemning. He calls himself a "Christian" but espouses that the Quran is "holy". You either believe the Bible or you believe the Quran.. You cannot believe both because they contradict one another.

Sorry about the long post, but I think this is going to be one of the defining issues of our day.. Will we accept the whole of God's Word, especially His promises to Israel...

14.30-15.00 Anteneh Tsegaye: Reflections on Students’ Ethnicity and Interethnic
Communications: Preliminary Study
Björn Freiberg: That strange new intercultural faith

That strange new intercultural faith
Björn Freiberg, Széchenyi István University, Gy?r
US Pastor Rick Warren prophecied that the enemy of the 21st century will be fundamentalists of all colours. How comes Warren to such an idea? And what has this all to do with intercultural communication? The aim of this lecture is first to point to the fact that intitatives of intercultural communication backed by politicians and an enormous media hype create the emerging of a new kind of faith, that seems to fit the needs of a globalised world. The lecture shows the background and the main ideologies of this new faith, its symbols and how they are enforced/communicated by the media and in current events. The author is able to show the link between 2008 May 22 EU Night of the Dialogue of Anna Lindh Foundation and the coming New Age hype of a world end of 2012, including its message in the lastest Hollywood productions, the 2007 peace proposal of the Jerusalem Peace Foundation, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations initiative and it's Media Clearing House, as well as in the EU-Euromed initiative, the French Proposal for a Meditarian Union and the Crans Montana Dialogue. The author further shows expectable problems when it comes down to dealing with "traditional" beliefs and its adherents, as in the publications of mentioned intercultural initiatives the declared enemies are the extremists. Have fundamentalists an extremistic worldview? Is it extreme to have a monotheistic faith or does extremism start with daily prayer? Does fundamentalist belief forbid intercultural communication? Where are the limits of faith? On the AoC 2008 meeting EU's Foreign Supremo Solana called for an enforcement of already existing rules against extremists. Although Ex-AoC member Geneive Abdo calls this UN intercultural initiative even a "perversion of civilized society and threat to world order (in the 2008 July edition of "Foreign Policy"), she requests at the same time for an exact definition of extremists and says "the interfaith movement, as it's developed on a big scale, is on the wrong track and is deceptive." The new global faith, seeming so much tolerant - has its own dogma and creates a new enemy to the world by its intolerancy towards fundamentalist believers of all colour. Are there not ways of intercultural communication AND keeping the faith? The author shows that - although differing to the picture depicted so often by the media - fundamentalist believers have indeed existing approaches in practicing intercultural communication and that hospitality has quite a lot to do with faith and is a form of intercultural communication and different belief systems have different approaches since long, as can been shown for example already in the biblical accounts of the three strangers visting Abraham outside and Lot in Sodom. The question is not, if its practicable today, but will believers or even fundamentalists get a chance to utter their voice and to present their versions and has the science of intercultural communication means to cope with other approaches of cross-culture-communication than the ones of the financially backed loud voices?
