Paul Ryan April 7, 2016: Progressive Coming Out Day?

“The New Age is upon us.  I would emphasize the fact to you.  The New Age is upon us and we are witnessing the birth pangs of the new culture and the new civilization.  That which is old and undesirable must go and of these undesirable things, hatred and the spirit of separateness must be the first to disappear”.  Alice Bailey, The Externalization of the Hierarchy – Section 1 – Introductory Remarks.

“As High Representative of the Alliance of Civilizations, I have no greater calling than that to promote the cause of peace between and among identity groups. Too frequently we see political leaders exploit our different identities to advance their own agendas. Too frequently we see these leaders ignore our shared values, our common humanity.”  September 21, 2015 statement by Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser.

Two days ago Paul Ryan released this video which, at least to me, appears to be rooted in new age collectivism. For example, in the new age, identity politics = separateness; common humanity = the collective, “one humanity”; common culture = new civilization; common values = suppression of “separative”, dissenting opinion.

Mr. Ryan, you cannot be ignorant that your words are identical to those the progressives use for mobilization of their collective.  Or are you?  Surely you cannot be ignorant of the Alliance of Civilizations Initiative?  I expect you would be familiar with the Obama Administration’s work with this Initiative since throughout 2015 it was incorporated into the US global counter-terrorism strategy?   Counter-terrorism and collectivism united; do you not see a problem here?  But wait, there’s more.

The "common humanity" expects a spiritual leader.  Many in the left advanced the notion that President Obama was a messianic figure.  He was referred to as “the One” as I recall.  Is it now the progressives on the right who are attempting to fill that role?

We once heard you had no interest in being House speaker.  There you are.  We’ve heard you have no interest in being the republican nominee for president yet somehow I’m not convinced you’re not posturing.

New Age conscious evolutionary leader Barbara Marx Hubbard once said:

"Now all the resonating core groups with outwardly different purposes are merging and blending and coming together to do the One Work . . ." Barbara Marx Hubbard, Spring 1988, To Seattle Unity Church, Seattle, Washington

Indeed.  The two political parties appear to have done exactly that.

Why are you so dismayed by the current “anti establishment” political climate?  When one speaks like a progressive and votes like a progressive, chances are they’re a progressive.  Given a choice between the progressive who conceals his identity and a progressive who doesn’t, why not pick the latter?  Or none?  At least one knows how to approach a political narrative with the open progressive.  It is quite a different picture when one finds the person they relied upon as their ally turned out to be masquerading as such.
