Free Speech in Fetters

The Second Forum of Alliance of Civilizations has passed and the American media coverage has amounted to little more than did or did not Obama attend the Forum? One might have expected better media coverage with questions ranging from what is the Alliance of Civilizations to what is United States’ interest in this initiative. Instead, the media expressed confusion despite Turkey’s Foreign Ministry had published President Obama’s itinerary on its web site. The itinerary shows President Obama was expected to give a speech at the forum.

Heritage Foundation writer Brett Schaefer contacted both the White House and the Alliance of Civilizations seeking confirmation that the President would indeed address the conference. The White House said it simply did not know. The Alliance responded it would neither confirm nor deny the President’s attendance. If what the Alliance has planned for us is such a good thing, why not be more forthcoming? Why does the media neglect to give this coverage? In Hitler’s Germany, a resistance group known as the White Rose wrote in their first pamphlet:
  • "Nothing is so unworthy of a civilized nation as allowing itself to be governed without opposition by an irresponsible clique that has yielded to base instinct. It is certain that today every honest German is ashamed of his government…by means of gradual, treacherous, systematic abuse, the system has put every man into a spiritual prison. Only now, finding himself lying in fetters, has he become aware of his fate."

This eerily describes present day governments whose politicians have eroded them giving favor to global governance, doesn’t it? These days, I believe the media is contributing to similar treacherous, systematic abuse. Yet, along with the rest of us, the media, too, shall soon learn of its fate. What a shock it should be as they learn they assisted in sealing it.

This September the UN General Assembly will vote whether the Alliance of Civilizations initiative moves from that of preparatory to activation stage. The Alliance openly calls for tight controls on free speech. A Media Rapid Response force has been established to provide newspapers and television stations reporting “guidelines” during times of crisis, particularly in the area of where politics and religion intersect. Given the system of global governance intends to unify religion and the state rather than maintain separation, everything now falls within this intersection. To ensure that media coverage adheres to a code of conduct, the Alliance of Civilizations has called for journalistic accreditation as well as a review board which will monitor news coverage. The Alliance, to show it upholds the principles of a free press, says that the he media will be “self-regulating” although it acknowledges that “regulation is not possible without pressure to bear”.

There are two individuals whom I would like to credit for recently drawing attention to the Alliance’s global gag on free speech. These articles are by Claudia Rosett writing for Forbes and Brett Schaefer writing for Heritage Foundation. These journalists get it. Claudia Rosett has clearly spent time reading the Alliance of Civilizations materials. Quoting from Rosett:
  • “…the Alliance in 2005 set up a secretariat in New York, and enlisted a founding panel of 20 "eminent persons" to further shape its agenda. This group, heavy on eminences from Islamic states, included Iran's Khatami--proposer of the original Dialogue. ..And in the four years since it morphed into existence as the latest phase of the Iranian-sponsored Dialogue, the Alliance has become another megaphone for some of the U.N.'s most troubling campaigns. In deference to Islamic anti-blasphemy laws, the Alliance favors a global gag on free speech. ....”

Among the latest attacks on free speech include the resolution to combat defamation of religion which was voted on by Human Rights Council last March (analysis here). This defamation of religions framework has its way of appearing throughout the interlocking UN initiatives. The Alliance of Civilizations is committed to making it a high priority.

I'll just let your recommendation that others not miss them stand. Anyone can go back to the previous thread and read the last couple of posts. This way comments here will relate to what you wrote. There's nothing I can add to your commentary except to say it is a very clear explanation of their latest activity.

U.S. House passes "hate crime" bill that Bush opposed
By Thomas Ferraro

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday approved an expansion of federal "hate crime" laws -- an effort that former Republican President George W. Bush had opposed.

"On a vote of 249-175, the House passed and sent to the Senate a bill backed by the new Democratic White House to broaden such laws by classifying as "hate crimes" those attacks based on a victim's sexual orientation, gender identity or mental or physical disability.

"The current law, enacted four decades ago, limits federal jurisdiction over hate crimes to assaults based on race, color, religion or national origin.

"The bill would lift a requirement that a victim had to be attacked while engaged in a federally protected activity, like attending school, for it to be a federal hate crime..."

Why don't they just get right to it and say that nothing bad can be said about Democrats.

Government's wealth distribution or share and share alike.

I started watching the African Press website
http://africanpress.wordpress.com
when the Michelle Obama dustup was taking place. I'll admit I was taken in by the man who ran the website. While it seemed he could be trusted, in the long run he sold out, making excuses all along the way. The story is too long to tell here.

Nevertheless I find the website interesting as a window on news that is happening in Africa. Obama's buddy in Kenya, Odinga, is not standing in the way of the farms of white farmers being taken over by individuals who feel they are entitled to a share of the land without cost.
http://tinyurl.com/de3upq

It appears that Kenya is not the only place where there is forced sharing.
http://www.newera.com.na/article.php?articleid=3855
"Zimbabwe’s economic crisis has been blamed on a land redistribution campaign that Mugabe began in 2000. The number of white farmers has dropped from about 4 000 to 400, and farms have ended up in the hands of Mugabe cronies."

It appears land isn't the only thing shared there.
"Zimbabwe’s central bank governor admitted yesterday that he took hard currency from the bank accounts of private businesses and foreign aid groups without permission, saying he was trying to keep his country’s cash-strapped ministries running."

We're just doing equalizing the wealth in more sophisticated ways.

Clip where Glenn Beck talks about the bail out of Colleges. Meaning the Government is the only place you can get financial aid. Then a possible future where the students pay it back as part of a "volunteer force" (or vote Democrat)

Dawn, going to college only keeps many out of the work force for a few more years. The system can't absorb so many trained minds. But then again what are the top flight schools where people are actually being challenged. So many schools are just extensions of high school with no one being forced to learn to think for themselves. How many come out of school and can't get jobs in their fields. Working for the government may be the only way for many to get a salary in the future if things continue as they are now.

Your post was very timely Rich. Last night a warning shot was fired out of Britain. It seems there is a list of 22 people banned from Britain, 16 of who are named. Most of them are activists who would cause trouble if they could gather a crowd. One is a very popular talk show host here in the US. He doesn't give talks around the country and doesn't lead a religious or political group. He just engages in free speech. He's not one of the pablum conservative talk show hosts who give the left no trouble but do give the illusion that the voices of those on the right are being heard. If you like him you listen. If you don't, you turn the dial. He's Michael Savage. Watch this carefully. Remember in the New Age that which causes separation is considered evil, and New Age is further ahead in Britain than in the US.

Here are two stories.

I started to write a post about the recent attacks on Michael Savage being permitted to enter Britain. I think I'm going to spend a little more time with the piece and make it a blog article.

As the previous contributor pointed out, Savage's only crime is free speech. It is speech of the worst kind as it violates Alliance of Civilizations guidelines. Smith's statements smack of the Alliance verbage.

I expect to have this follow up piece posted no later than Saturday.

A friend sent me a link to a long article at WIRED on the Georgia Guidestones, which many of you are already familiar with.
http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/magazine/17-05/ff_guidestones or
http://tinyurl.com/d5n34d

While the article was quite interesting, the comments afterwards were even more so. It seems that a researcher believes the person who sponsored the Guidestones might be Francis Merchant. So I followed up on that link.
http://tinyurl.com/oglha8 which was an article written by Merchant' wife detailing his biography.

Merchant had worked directly with Alice Bailey and then became a full time staff member of the Arcane School. Because of a change at the headquarters, he and his wife embarked on full time careers as professors at a number of schools.

In the bio I read, "For years he served as both contributing author and trustee for `Fellowship in Prayer'. Most notably, he shaped this organization's Course in Prayer, which was published many
years ago.

So I looked up Fellowship in Prayer
http://www.fellowshipinprayer.org/fip/
which doesn't seem to be connected with Fellowship Foundation. Nevertheless it has been around a long time, 1949. Resources linked to this group are:
http://fellowshipinprayer.com/fip/RESOURCES/, a regular closetful of New Age religious organizations.

While the Fellowship looks like it started out to be a basic Christian organization, the founder died after a few years. Merchant was with it for many years. It shows how easily a Lucis Trust connected individual could have an influence where it was not expected.

Oh yes. Merchant did write a book called
THE TRANSFORMATION OF SOCIETY,
1960 192pp The author calls for radical changes in religion, politics, economics and philosophy - for people who think in broader terms, he believes, hold the future in their hands.
http://www.greensleevesbooks.co.uk/si/green017277.html

Greensleeves, UK, appears to be a rather large seller of used books in the esoteric field.

I've used links so that the reader can get a quicker overview of this post and then follow through with the details on their own.

Here's an interesting story out of the UK. It seems the government there has put a cap on the number of students who will be allowed into higher education. It seems only one step away from the quotas that were in place in the US in the 1940s and 1950s.

Two short you tube videos on international antisemitism from an Orthodox Jewish perspective. The person who put them together believes the time of the Mashiach (Messiah) is near. I have no doubt that the Islamic demonstrations are organized by New Age leadership, but I have no proof of this. I can only hope such wars will not happen. That all Jews should return to Israel is an orgoing Orthodox theme.

Dorothy,
The logo CBN for Christian Broadcasting Network, keeps being flashed on the videos that you posted, so they are responsible either for all or part of the production, but this brings up an important point because Zionist Christians or Messianic Jews who stand with Israel will be persecuted right along with the Jews. What is under attack is the very Word of God.

I don't think New Agers are necessarily responsible for the demonstrations because Muslims have enough of their own hatred without any help towards Israel. The hatred of Israel is very spiritual because it represents an outright rejection of God's Word the Bible. Muslims believe the Scriptures have been corrupted and reject Israel's claims to the Land. The media, like CNN is instrumental in fueling Muslim hatred of Jews, but Muslim countries put a lot of publicity dollars into these stations too. Rupert Murdoch's Newscorp is 5% owned by a Saudi Prince, voting shares, so...

Al Jazeera and all the Arab chains spew hatred, and every Muslim, no matter how poor seems to own a satellite dish, so they can capt people like Sheikh Nassarellah and other demonic figures from the Muslim world. I think it is a mistake to give only the New Agers credit for anti-semitism. Before the New Age existed there was anti-semitism.. Anti-semitism is simply anti-HaShem, because we must deny Him to deny Jews. When we can see that it is a spiritual battle, it is easier to know how to pray.

As a great rabbi, in fact the greatest rabbi I follow once said," pray for those who persecute you," It's easy to pray for those we love, but not so easy to pray for our enemies, so we should pray for the Muslims and the New Agers and all the rest.

Matt. 5:44 -48 “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. “For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? “If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Not always an easy thing to do, but God's ways are not always easy.

Thought come here might be interested to see what is influencing the Evangelical church. Jim Wallis is part of the Obama Faith-based Initiative, but no surprises there:

Joyce,
I said what I did because these people just didn't one day decide on their own to get together and march. I'm guessing but the average Muslim, like the average American, has no real desire to go into the streets and protest. Behind the scenes they are instigated and then organized. Something has to be offered to people to get them into the streets. Some do it for pay. Others as a favor to their organizations. Others as a favor to their friends.

I go back to what Constance has said many times, that the New Age idea is to turn the religious groups against each other until they disappear through mutual destruction whereupon the New Agers will step in.

Again just a guess, but I think money people are stirring up the Muslim community for that goal. Who else would be used to get those hard headed Jews out of the way. Muslims have already been used against Christians in the Kosovo battles in that way.

Dorothy

Joyce said...

Dorothy,
I believe the media stirs Muslims, but the hatred of Israel goes back to the time of Mohamed, so it doesn't take much effort on the media's part to stir them. The media is definitely controlled by some with a New Age agenda. They just flash a few pictures that appear to be from Gaza where Muslims have been hurt, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, and old hatred is stirred, but don't underestimate Islamic teaching itself.

In US, we don't even see what the Muslims watch from the imams in the ME. These people are not New Agers.. They read the Quran and interpret it literally. The more militant Islams stir hatred towards Jews, Christians, Israel, America, etc.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you about the dhimmitude in Muslim countries that existed. This goes back centuries. Interesting site on that subject:

http://www.dhimmi.org/

Mohamed tried to persuade three tribes that were Jews in Medina to attack Mecca with him, when he first began his attempts to spread his "message". When these 3 tribes refused and didn't see him as another Elijah, he turned on them and began attacking Jews caravans taking their riches. Prior to that, he did business with them. As his riches grew, he was able to convince more people to join him.

Muslims Christians and Jews have peacefully coexisted from time to time, for brief periods of history, but the history of hatred is greater, so it doesn't take much to stir them. Islam calls them "the people of the book" but then proceeds to say to go after Jews and Christians. Now moderate Muslims will point to stories in the Torah and say violence was used too, and interpret the Quran as a book of love, but there are enough of the fundamentalist types who want to see Jews go away, and others who are not fundamentalists but feel disenfranchised because they don't have good jobs and their populations are too big.. The believe the stories of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, they read Mien Kempf. These are some of the better selling books in Muslim countries.

It's intriguing is that all the most important holy sites in Israel are sought after by Muslims to, like Hebron and even places like the supposed tomb of the prophet Samuel. Islam has a notion of waqf, which means that once their feet have been placed somewhere, it's their religious duty to take that land. Temple Mount for them is waqf.

All that to say, yes, the media stirs them, particularly stations like CNN, but the inherent hatred ( for those who really follow the Quran) is already there and is easily stirred.

There are always exceptions to this of course, but the herd mentality works well under Islam because questioning of Islam or leaving Islam is forbidden. Most Muslims don't believe they have the freedom to chose their faith. They are just born into it. When we consider in many Muslim countries, the origins were not Islamic, it's interesting to see how Islam has been propagated by fear, not by choice or love.

Here's an interesting video on the training of Palestinian children:

http://tiny.cc/siiBy

It's true that the EU finances a lot the hatred that is spewed out on Palestinian media. They give hundreds of millions of euros with very little oversight.

This nonsense of peace between Islam, Judaism and Christianity that is being preached is a joke to Muslims who want the Mediterranean to be red with Jewish blood. That doesn't mean every single one of them but a large majority feel this way, but many do. They are the pawns of their own corrupt governments who could care less about them. Yassar Arafat died with billions in a Swiss account and the people suffered, but as long as Israel is portrayed as the enemy, the people never look at their own leaders..

I don't think this is exclusively a New Age phenomenon but is as old as when the serpant said "did God really say" translated, "did He really give that Land to Israel". New Age attacks the Word of God, for sure, but ultimately the father of lies, Ha Satan has always attacked it. People like Albert Pike, a famous freemason talked about 3 world wars, the last a religious one, which would bring about the end of the world so in that sense the Clash of Civilizations has been magnified by the "War on Terror" and many of these events which then promote the anti-thesis: Clash of Civilizations v.s. Alliance of Civilizations.. Synthesis:both.... Neither one is going away, but the seeds of hatred were there from centuries ago...

It is only those who believe God at His Word, that know the end of the story.

Joyce, I'm familiar with all that you've posted. I am more interested in what is happening now than what happened in the far distant past.

http://www.gotquestions.org/Jews-Arabs.html
"...However, the ancient root of bitterness between Isaac and Ishmael does not explain all of the hostility between Jews and Arabs today. In fact, for thousands of years of Middle Eastern history, Jews and Arabs lived in relative peace and indifference towards each other. The primary cause of the hostility has a modern origin. After World War II, when the United Nations gave a portion of the land of Israel to the Jewish people, the land was at that time primarily inhabited by Arabs (the Palestinians). Most Arabs protested vehemently against the nation of Israel occupying that land. Arab nations united and attacked Israel in an attempt to wipe them out of the land, but they were utterly defeated by Israel. Ever since, there has been great hostility between Israel and its Arab neighbors...."

Given that the New Age movement has been operating on an international level over the last century, I'll stay with my thesis.

Dorothy

Joyce said...

Dorothy,
One should not ignore the modern origins of the conflict, nor should one ignore the ancient ones. The jealousy between Isaac and Ishmael that was presumably reconciled at their father Abraham's funeral.. One could point to the enslavement of Joseph by Ishmaelite traders, but then one must look at his own brothers too..who originally sold him.

The hostility on the part of Muslims against Jews, if you study anything about Islam is that Muslims believe that they have the final revelation.. They consider themselves the descendants of Ishmael but ethnically this is far from always being true. There are Phoenicians, Moabites, Edomites, etc, living in the territories surrounding Israel, and of course Esau did intermarry, and to some extent in modern times many of these groups may have intermarried with descendants of Ishmael, but the issue is Islam.

In the time of Ishmael, there was no such thing called Islam. That came into being in the 7th century. The Muslims of course have linked their biblical heritage to Ishmael to legitimize it, and in some ways might fulfill some of the prophecies about the character of Ishmael's descendants.

I too am interested in the modern origins of this conflict and while the founding of the State of Israel in 1948 certainly triggered new hostilities, talk to Jews who lived in Muslim lands and ask them if things were always good. Islam has always and will continue to seek to dominate the world stage because the belief of Islam is that the whole world should be under Islam.

The modern origins of the conflict are based in the ancient belief that Islam is the final revelation and that Adam, Abraham etc were all Muslims.. and the Bible has been corrupted. As long as the Jews were not in the Land, the most controversial things, like the status of Jerusalem were not an issue.

Since Jerusalem is God's footstool, the Muslim's claim of the Temple Mount for Allah is not really astonishing, in fact the Dome of the Rock was not a recent developement. It was built many centuries ago under the Ottoman Empire, so I'm not sure that this conflict was started by the UN, but the UN does represent the demonic forces that seek to rebel against God, so it's not at all astonishing that they are cooperating to divide the Land and make Jerusalem an international capital with their very own banner.

The spirit of anti-messiah is not new. Paul said it was alive in his day, almost 2000 years ago when the New Age movement did not exist. You are correct in saying in modern times that the UN has helped facilitate the conflict, but the UN could not facilitate anything, if the old rivalries between Islam and the Jews for the control of Jerusalem did not already exist.

There are Muslims, who are Persian by the way, like the shiites in Iran, who want to set up a Muslim caliphate, and that has nothing to do with the UN. It has everything to do with the goals of Islam.

The great deception of Islam, through the Arab language is that Muslims are all Arab. As your article rightly points out, all Arabs are not Muslims, nor are all Muslims Arab. The Quran is written in Arabic, and Islam was spread in Arabic, giving the impression that all the peoples under Islam are Arabs when in fact many of the people who were Islamized were originally Jews and Christians.

The spread of Islam, called jihad, is by any means, violence, financial, political etc., so while I grant you that the UN has its goals, Islam also has its own. As Yeshua said, "a house divided against itself will fall" so Islam will fall and so will the UN, because neither are within God's plan. HaSatan, doesn't care how he misleads people, as long as they don't come to know the living God, and any religion will do.

Watching Glen Beck tonight was quite interesting. He is reporting on an expose of ACORN, an organization associated with Obama, an organization operating illegally, an organization getting big money from the government. I learned that there are more than 200 organizations and corporations operating out of a mail drop building, a former mortuary, in New Orleans and that all of the money is funneled through this address.
http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:http://www.capitalresearch.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/obamae28099s-campaign-lies-about-acorn-_-no-quarter.pdf or
http://tinyurl.com/q42l8j

There appears to be no way to trace how money is being dispersed out of this rat's nest operation. Even staff members have started to speak out.

More from Beck on Wednesday 5/13.

Mail drops are generally small places where no serious works appears to be going on. They keep people from learning what is going on. I saw two others in my research. One was a tiny little home in in a residential neighborhood in Buffalo. It supposedly was headquarters for the American Humanist Association. I was greeted by an older motherly type who offered me tea and cookies. There was no literature around. A man came from upstairs to check me out.

Another was a small office with no furniture where I was discouraged from visiting by the person who answered the phone. I walked there as I worked nearby. You couldn't go up in the elevator unless someone in the building allowed you in. The phone answerer at IAF wouldn't let me up. I waited until someone else used the elevator and invited myself up. The "office" was on the fifth floor on Kinzie in Chicago and is still there. Probably by now they've brought in some furniture. The Industrial Areas Foundation, an Alinsky styled operation rather like ACORN, a community organizing operation, which supposedly has 59 affiliates in 21 states. At the time they were working with organizations all around Chicago to raise millions of dollars.

Dorothy,

Your research is good, but your knowledge of history is a little weak. You might want to read up a bit more on this history to better understand the historical nature of the Mideast conflict. It's impossible to understand outside of the historical, spiritual context.

This is a really short article on the subject from the Jewish virtual library. Most Jews understand this history.. Kind of surprised that you minimize the importance of these events..

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/anti-semitism/Jews_in_Arab_lands_(gen).html

http://tiny.cc/FM5Ll

I wouldn't recommend reading the Quran but here's a little example of what I mean.. It didn't just start in 1948:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/019086.php
http://tiny.cc/m04z0

These Jewish websites are very informative, but far from the only sources of information.

http://www.hebrewhistory.info/factpapers/fp040_koran.htm

http://tiny.cc/WLa1G

There's volumes of history about Jews and Christians living in Muslims lands under the dhimmitude, and many forced conversions to Islam. There is evidence that many groups who were originally Israelites were Islamized by force. I won't go into all of this history, because it would take too long, but I think there is a fair amount of evidence that the Muslim/Jewish conflict did not just begin in 1948, even if there were relative periods of peace.

Any peace that there was was because Jews and Christians payed unreasonable taxes, or could not build buildings higher than the Muslim's or had to move over for a passing Muslim. Jews had to at times pickle heads of decapitated people in salt, requiring them to come into contact with death continuously, rendering them tamei. ( unclean).

http://looklex.com/e.o/mellah.htm

a little more...

http://www.jewcy.com/post/understanding_islam_islamic_antisemitism

http://tiny.cc/GAqHb

By the way, the word Islam means to submit, so if your not careful you might find, it's not just the UN you'll be worried about.

I know you don't like to read my posts, so I leave it for someone who would like to learn a little of this history, and might find my "substandard" research interesting.

He said that things were not as bad as the Western media makes it out to be. He said our media is atheistic and tries to pitch religions against each other, by fabricating stories, taking things people say out of context etc. esp, when it comes to Abrahamic faiths.

Joyce said...

Savvy,
Your friend might not have had a chance to talk to some of the people who had rockets falling on or near their homes, who were running into bomb shelters.. It's true that it's not always like this, but in the last year, there have been several incidents in Jerusalem where someone just went on a random killing spree with a car, or the even in the yeshiva.

Both peoples feel the hatred and mistrust of the other, between Jew and Muslim, sometimes between Jew and Christian ( in the Old City) between Muslim and Christian. I had an Orthodox Jew tell me he was more scared of the Christians by Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem because they collaborate with Hamas.

Israel does understand that there are Christians that support them like the, so this is not across the board, and they make the distinction.

People have learned to live expecting that things can happen, so they go about with their daily lives, but that doesn't change the realities that within the past several years, there was Gaza, Lebanon, intifada, random killings, kidnappings. Remember, this is a very small territory, not like the US.

Security in Israel is extremely high, which probably prevents worse from happening. As for the surrounding countries, they have other kinds of problems. Bible believers are not free to practice their faith in these countries, and contrary to what was said in the media about Palestinian believers in the Bible dwindling because of "low birth rates" they are leaving because of persecution by the Muslims.

The media is very slanted in its reporting, but the tension really exists and people have just learned to continue to eat, drink, marry and be given in marriage, just like the days of Noah. They don't stop living.

The Arab Israelis, who live and work and have citizenship are in a different situation than those who live in the Palestinian areas who are not citizens. Many work in the hotels, restaurants, in the government. They have full social and health benefits just like Jews, unlike Palestians in Gaza or other areas.

Jews are not allowed to go up all the time to Temple Mount, or pray out loud, in the site that is most holy to them, let alone have a Temple, where the holy of holies would be. Particularly among Orthodox, this is a very sore spot. More secular Jews are probably less concerned about this and would just assume hang out in a night club in Tel Aviv.

Egypt and Jordan get a lot of USD, like Israel. They have their own internal problems with Islamists, as do all "more moderate" Muslim countries. Most of these countries have extremists who want to get rid of kings, democracy, dealings with the West and put the governments under sharia law ( Islamic law). A lot of these problems are covered up so that people will not be scared to come as tourists, and these countries are all police states that survey closely what's going on within. Even when there are problems, they may not be broadcast in the media, so as not to scare tourists.

With high birthrates, and high unemployment, these countries are hotbeds for terrorism.

Having said that, I would still highly recommend visiting if you've never been there.

John Lennon made pact with Satan, says new book.
Author contends 'Paul is dead' clues were about McCartney's band mate

This WND story, using quotes from the book makes a very good case for demon possession. It also shows the seductive nature of evil, leading him from acts in his early childhood to the things he did later in life.

http://www.cbn.com/entertainment/Books/carey_john_lennon.aspx or
http://tinyurl.com/r9mor3

This article indicates Lennon was trying to find out about Christianity during his later years. It says he had written to Oral Roberts:

“The point is this, I want happiness. I don't want to keep on with drugs. Paul told me once, 'You made fun of me for taking drugs, but you will regret it in the end.' Explain to me what Christianity can do for me. Is it phoney? Can He love me? I want out of hell."
Was he trying to escape the hell he knew was ahead?

The Beatles yearning song "Imagine" has become a standard. The music is haunting, but until one listens to the words with a knowledge of the New Age movement, one might not catch how it is an example of the seductiveness of evil.

There are many websites that link the Beatles with New Age ideas, but possession? There are websites that give information about how hard core forms of rock might have their soul in the demonic. "Black Metal" music, tied with the Nazis, is very clearly demonic. But the Beatles? Who would have thought...

If this author is truthful about Lennon, it would come close to showing how New Age can subvert the mind of the average person. New Age ideas don't show their evil side to the average person. The average person can identify with and like the message. New Age ideas, like music, have an emotional impact; the brain doesn't go into gear. The Beatles, like New Age ideas, are hard to de-idolize.

New Age ideas have their own path. The supernatural, occult ideas have theirs. When the two intersect, they bring destruction as using dangerous methods to achieve utopian goals brings things about on the human realm that can't be controlled and must run their course with destruction of some kind as the end.

One can only guess where evil may lurk. Pride, believing one has all of the answers, goes before a fall.

Joyce,

Yes, everyone's aware of the problems Islamic countries have with extremism etc. I don't know if this is real Islam, because I haven't studied it, but I am aware of the fact that Islamists subscribe to a relativist ideology, as opposed to the absolutists the media makes them out to be, along with Jews and Christians. This helps explain the radical Islamic links to Marxist groups. Absolutism supposes an Objective truth, reality. You can't have absolutism without it.

Speaking of Lennon's pact with the Devil.

This is a quote from Mussolini.

"Everything I have said and done is these last years is relativism by intuition. If relativism signifies contempt contempt for fixed categories and men who claim to be bearers of an objective immortal truth, then there is nothing more relativistic than facist attitudes and activities. From the fact that all ideologies are of equal value, that all ideologies are mere fictions, the modern relativist infers that everybody has the right to create for himself his own ideology and to attempt to enforce it with all the energy of which he is capable."

Mussolini's Diuturna, pages 374-77

What does this have to do with the Devil?

The devil was the first relativist. Listen to his philosophy. "Did God say that in the day you eat of the forbidden fruit you will not die? I say you won't. God is keeping something from you. Eat this, and you will know what it is. You will know God's dark side. The light is relative to the dark, and the dark to the light. Good and evil are relative you see"

Savvy

Savvy,
Like all other religions, Islam is not uniform, and has fights within itself. This is part of the problem between Saudi Arabia ( predominately Sunni) and Iran ( predominately Shiite). There are other disagreements too. but there is also an old saying in the Muslim world, "me and my brother against my cousin, me, my brother and cousin against our neighbor, etc.."

Islam is undoubtedly a divided house and will fall some day, because the Bible says so.. In fact all who oppose the Bible will bend their knee to Yeshua, but my main point was to say that things are not always as they appear on the surface.

It's not easy for the people who live in the Middle East, including the Muslims themselves. I tend to view the battle from a more spiritual perspective and think it has a lot to do with the fact that Yeshua is coming back one day to reign from Jerusalem. Then things will settle down.

Is. 19:24-25 In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

May that day come quickly.

I was listening to an interview of Brian Gerrish by Dr. Stan Monteith yesterday. It led me to look up a video on an organization known as Common Purpose in Britain, an organization Mr. Gerrish has worked to expose. The interesting thing about Common Purpose and its description by Mr. Gerrish is what its doing in Britain to "adjust" society, said by its proponents as a "just" society, I can't help but notice the similarities along parallel tracks to Agenda 21 in the U.S. and the UN's Alliance of Civilizations. The video on Common Purpose is at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBE_0-1v_34. It is a good primer on neighborhood organizing or societal organizing, i.e., to bend society to an overarching goal through a well financed fifth column. The problem though with so much money is the trail that is left of pervasive corruption. This video is dated July 3, 2006. There is also a more recent video dated this year by the British Constitutionalists, and I believe they recently concluded a conference that was held earlier this month.

(thanks Kate)

This is an excellent analysis of why Obama was invited to speak at Notre Dame. It had nothing to do with ideals. It has everything to do with money and power.

Those sitting in the audience at ND today are just in line with the multitudes throughout history who would sell their souls for some coins.

Dorothy,

If you are interested in the Beatles, and other rock connections to the New Age and occult. I am providing a link to a documentary called "They sold their souls for rock and roll". It is done from a christian perspective, but makes many ties of many musicians like Beatles, Led Zepplin, and others to Crowley, Antone Levay, and other occult practices.

Its lengthy, but if you are interested in these connections its worth the watch.

I have the piece on Michael Savage and the Alliance of Civilizations complete. I will post it tomorrow evening after I've reviewed and edited it one last time.

JD, after almost 30 years of very serious research on the New Age/New World Order movement, I have looked in depth at many different aspects of what is going on. I try to post things that will resonate with individuals who are still on the fence as to how the movement touches their lives, and the Beatles are an example of that. That's why I tried to tie the Beatle's affect with how New Age effects individuals, in surprising and unexpected ways.

It's good that you posted that information because we need as many individuals as possible to look at the different threads connected with New Age.

"I don't think that way" is a response I've received from many people when I try to tell them what is going on. It may be a snotty response on my part, but I tell them that if they aren't in a position of power, it doesn't matter what they think, that the changes are going on around them and they should be aware of those changes.

Often individuals look at the strange lists of organizations connected with New Age and have no awareness how these groups are connected with their lives. There is no doubt that popular music influences how listeners think about the world around them. My reason for posting the comments about the Beatles was to show that even what some might consider innocuous really has an effect that they have not considered.

Hopefully someone who looks at the information you provided will be stimulated to say to themselves, "I didn't know that. Is it true? I want to know more."

I might not follow up, but others will. That's how it works for those who take their future seriously.

Eric, I finally got around to watching the videos on Common Purpose, the Alinsky type organization in England, and found they are very important. What happens is that we, and that includes me, can become distracted by websites that others post that are just peripheral, websites that have little to do with the the New World Order power structure but are filled with supporting names that do nothing, letterhead organizations. While researching communist front activity, I definitely found many of those.

A Google web search can provide much information on Common Purpose across the western world, including the USA. The words are used as buzz words as well as being the name of a major organization that uses community organizing tactics. Like Sustainability the movement is organized from the top down, manipulating trusting individuals as you probably know.

Thank you for calling it to our attention. The New World Order has been developing for over 100 years, carefully and quietly. The leaders are patient, working over decades to change things. Without the internet it was very difficult to warn others what was happening. With the internet there is no excuse for everyone who knows something to not warn others, and I, for one, thank you for doing that.

Unfortunately don't expect too much from others. Too few people care about the future of the country. One of my friends said I complain too much about those who do nothing, but that's just me.

Eric, if you believe that your information on Common Purpose deserves a wider audience, do post it on Constance's blog, that is, cumbey.blogspot.com, which is linked to here. It is not a competition as to who can get the information out, but one of warning as many people as possible. Some of her readers check this website, but not all do.
