Bjorn's Other Blog

I am writing this blog post to acknowledge several of the emails regarding Bjorn (Farmer) and present my position on the controversy surrounding his Blue God Star blog. Portions of this may be hard for some to read, but it has to be said so one can understand how I have arrived at my conclusions.

Late Friday evening as I checked my e-mail, I found a message waiting which contained a link to a blog called the
Blue God Star. The email indicated that it was Farmer’s new blog. As I read, my initial thoughts were that this is not Farmer’s blog, but then the author identified himself as Farmer. I decided to look at the various posters and found one named Arrowsmith. Arrowsmith writes a blog called the Black Dog Star. There I became even more stunned to find not even subtle Satanism and supportive posts by Farmer under various screen names of Bjorn (farmer); Freiberg; and Far More.

After reading the Star of Shiva and Nature of the Beast as well as Farmer’s posts, I sat silently for awhile overwhelmed by a sense of sadness and disbelief. I honestly did not want to believe this of Bjorn, he knows better. The Star of Shiva is about earth’s purification, a doctrine Bjorn himself has written about.

Some have characterized Constance Cumbey’s latest post exposing Farmer’s writings as a witch hunt. I do not see it that way. Farmer’s post ended with the words “stay tuned for…far more”. He fully intended to continue writing.

I find it reasonable that Constance Cumbey, an accredited author who has dedicated 30 years of her career combating the new age, would react as she did. After all, a person whom she trusted and one whom she linked her web site to recently launched a blog which honored Shiva. Constance had more than adequate reason to act as she did. I would have done the same.

I said on Constance’s blog that if attention were brought to Bjorn which was different in nature, one related to sin other than following a different god, Bjorn’s integrity as a anti new-age researcher would not have been compromised. As of last Friday night, I honestly do not know for which side Bjorn is a watchman.

I have decided to read much of Bjorn’s academic material in hopes of ascertaining what he really believes. This is not a witch hunt. I will let the evidence guide my conclusions. We cannot be compromised in ways our readers don’t know what we believe.

Bjorn, I hope you understand why I have taken this position. I say these things not to embarrass you. This is a very hard truth to say to you as I don’t want you to run away from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I still care about you very much and hope and pray that we will be able to forget this and celebrate together at the Lord’s table.

Hi Rich,

I am equally shocked and disappointed by Bjorn's "other blog" and his marital infidelity and fully agree that Constance had the responsibility to expose it.

I just want to shed a little light on EU education since I know people that are involved in it. His professional activities would not be surprising given the EU attitudes toward education and the EU philosophy of becoming "one" people.

Cross-cultural studies in and of themselves are not bad.. In fact people who work to spread the gospel to foreign people groups will often try to "understand their host culture" . . Of course the EU's motives are entirely different than someone engaged in some cross-cultural ministry.

With this background on EU education I think it's fair to say that if Bjorn didn't teach that curriculum , he would not have a job at that university where he worked. Within the context of his classroom we don't know wether he had a witness of Yeshua at one time, and then compromised it....as he did with the blog, or whether he was just deliberately deceiving everyone with his blog.

One could criticize him for not leaving his job that promotes the very system that we are opposed to i.e. the AoC type agenda, but I don't want to read more than is there either. There's enough there that we do know to say he's in big trouble spiritually.

I am not defending what Bjorn was up to all, and it's reasonable to ask the questions you and Constance and others of us are asking, but I just wanted to point out that EU education system is not US, and US is moving more and more in direction of EU as we see with programs on high school level like the International Baccalaureate. There is a push to harmonize education worldwide, and I suspect Bjorn worked under this...

From a spiritual perspective I want to say that people like Bjorn are very vulnerable to attack, and he probably didn't use a lot of wisdom with some of the occult things that he researched. He clearly didn't put appropriate boundaries between himself and the woman he's having an affair with.

From the dream she had, it does sound like there's occult influence in her life, and possible Satan assignments on Bjorn's life.

American believers in general are sadly naive about the workings of Satan, but in other countries where people practice witchcraft, like places in Africa, people are not naive at all..

In our culture it permeates television, movies, video games, etc. and people have become numbed to its influence, just as people will easily participate in yoga, reiki, TM, Maritial Arts etc..

In the Torah, God very firmly tells Israel to not mix with the nations, to not worship their gods, and participate in their practices because the surrounding nations were worshipping baal, molech etc. THERE'S A REASON FOR THIS ! God in His infinite wisdom knows that we will turn from HIm and become ensnared and we will begin to believe lies, plus we will divide our loyalty to Him with our loyalty to the other gods ( spiritual harlotry). Ancient Israel did it over, and over again and was punished for it, by being exiled on a number of occasions. ( so God could demonstrate His mercy and grace when He brings us back and the nations would know who the God of Israel is).

In our 21st century we have made things taht are pagan incredibly banal and people are not spiritual alert and I suspect this is part of Bjorn's problem .. He mentioned that prior to knowing the Lord he was into some darkness, which tells me that there were spiritual strongholds in his life that had not been dealt with. I think this is a lesson to every to be alert, because the devil is roaming around to see who he can devour and destroy. The more public our witness is, the more spiritual attack we will come under... Just a fact of warfare that I have learned by personal experience.. not only on blogs..

What we know for sure is that plenty of prayer is need here, and lots of discernment.

Want to add one thing. I read a book by a Jewish woman once whose son committed suicide after he was involved in the game "dungeons and dragons" evidently one of these role-playing games that sucks kids in .. She was so disturbed, that she did a study to find the incidence of suicide among young people who played this which was much higher than the average for teenage kids. Darkness is real and we don't have to be scared of Satan but we have to have healthy respect

It's important for believers, young and old to stay away from dark things be it movies, tv, cartoons, music etc, etc, but have been shocked to see how many Bible believers don't take this stuff seriously.

I'm talking about things like Harry Potter books and movies, or dark video games like War Craft and games with avatars that I am only vaguely familiar with and dark rock music, all of these things in our cultural are designed at the very least to open people to occult influence and possess them. Yoga, TM, labyrinth walking is commonplace in all kinds of congregations.

There is a serious lack of understanding about what it means to be holy because God is holy and how be "being separated" we not only honor Him and keep our mind free from garbage, but how we protect our relationship which is compared to the relationship of marriage in Scripture.

We haven't learned how to "guard" the way to the Tree of Life. Yeshua of course is the one who gives us life, but we still must treasure and protect His Word and our relation with HIm, which will keep us safe.

I just think this is important for all to pay attention to, not just Bjorn..

Blessings,
Joyce

Thank you Rich for an honest word from your point of view. I have never been much for airing a fellow Christian's dirty laundry out for the public. I understand that you and Constance have some concerns. This is pretty heartbreaking on both sides of the story. I hope the best for Bjorn, and I sure hope that the message being brought on Constance's blog is not akin to slander.

Thank You Rich for sharing from your personal understanding.
I have found it interesting to watch over the past few days how some individuals who have criticized Constance, have had an entirely different attitude in the past about uncovering deception in the church or elsewhere, as long as the deception being exposed, or the sin being publicly confronted is about someone not so close to home. They have stood on the sidelines, nodding with approval, unabashedly showing support for the courageous stand taken by the one who dared to bring the deception into the light.
Now, some of these same people, though perhaps well meaning, are presuming in affect to know precisely the correct 'Biblical way' "matters like this" should have been handled. Six months, or a year from now, when undoubtedly these sad revelations would have come to light another way, (and they most likely would have) who would these same people be pointing accusing fingers at should they discover Constance knew the information all along and didn't reveal it? I think it's safe to surmise we would all be appalled.
The Lord knows those who are His and He promises He will never leave us or forsake us. Based on my own personal, past experience; sometimes finding ourselves in the position of having nothing left but Jesus, gets us to finally realize that Jesus is all we need.

"I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy
pit, out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to
stand.

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD."

Psalm 40

It looks like it is all coming together for the so called New World Order.

Rich,
Thanks for your perspective. I agree whole heartedly that this information had to brought to light. As we all know, the Holy Spirit cannot co-exist with demons. It is amazing to me how many people would demand to know if their pastor were engaging in these types of activities, but are upset that anyone dare "out" one of their favorite "watchmen". Of course, we should all be saddened to see a soul in this state. I also pray that Bjorn straightens his life out and gets saved. I also believe you are right to look out for the integrity of your blog and the content provided. For those who believe this is a witch hunt, how do you think God views this? My God tells me to stay away from devils and those who cavort with them.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12
There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass throught the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

If God calls this type of activity an abomination, who are we to make light of it!!!

Very well and thoughtfully said, Richard. Thanks and I concur in your prayers for Bjorn who I had considered a friend.

On a happier note, Rich, you did a superb job on your radio interview tonight.

Keep up the excellent work!

Joyce, much of the Christian missionary apparatus has been hijacked by people such as David Bryant and their "cross-cultural" ministries appeared often to be geared more towards converting Christians to forms of paganism rather than vice versa, I'm sorry to say.

Nancy Flint has done tremendous work on research on the U.S. Center for World Missions and she found much barely concealed "emergent church" and even theosophy.

This has been a hard pill to swallow. I want to trust farmer. His actions since this has happened have not seen consistent with what He claims on his blog. For example if this is something from his past, why not contact Constance immediately or better yet tell her it was out there?
Why shut down the comments on his blog? Why doesn't he answer email?
If a person is out to get you, would not a person say, hey I have made these enemies and they are after me?
I would think the burden of proof is now on Bjorn.
I am praying for him and his family.

Dawn,

What a wonderfully objective point of view. You have said essentially what I wanted to say, that the words escaped me. I agree, I would love to hear from Bjorn on his side of things. Something is not right. I have a hard time though, swallowing this idea that Bjorn is full of malice and ill intent towards the rest of us, but should that be the case we have all learned a lesson the very hard way.
